Boss Stole Back My X-Mass Bonus Two Weeks After It (New Electric Scooter) Was Given To Me

quit my job two weeks after i had received my Christmas bonus. ($200 electric scooter ) when i went back to get my last paycheck and scooter, he informed me the scooter was not mine anymore, and he was prepossessing it to "help cover his losses". What ever the *** that is supposed to mean. The scooter is now locked up in his garage, but i still have the TITLE to the scooter at my house. Idk What The Funicular to do.

$200 is very cheap for an electric scooter. They cost a lot more in the UK. The larger ones can cost up to £2000.

i have record of it being given to me on txt messages. I Also have the *title* to scooter

You cannot give something to someone in a text message. He either physically gave the scooter to you or he didn't.

I don't know where you stand legally, but what a tightwad your ex-boss is.
Perhaps you could go to the police and ask them to investigate the theft, showing your proof of ownership. Good luck with that :/

smart thing would have been to actually get it before leaving... as you are stateside no idea how your crime enforcement officers will regard this or take it seriously, doubt much will be done though..

don't know the legal situation in the US but your boss is either incredibly mean or his business is in serious trouble... or both

i had been driving the scooter to work then home everyday, until i got a flat tire on the way to work, the same day i quit working for him. Update 12/28/17: He was just at my house making physical threats, screaming and claiming that i "owe him more than i even know!" I had no choice but to agree with this ridiculousness, because he is now refusing to pay me my last week worked, as i was under the assumption that when you do work for an employer, it is they that owes you for compensation for services rendered. This has turned into a nightmare. Note* he has also torn down and broken my security camera that was mounted on the wall next to my front door. Oh Joy.......cant wait to see what happens next

lol jackdaw, very true, funny thing is i replaced the broken camera (still broke) in its original place on the wall. Then mounted a 2nd, less conspicuous camera on an adjacent facing wall. Not really anticipating much of anything will come of this, but who knows.....

um er yes you did - you could have called the police

and the camera - obvious criminal damage
the last pictures should be of him ripping it down before it goes blank ( unless of course you didnt quite have it on record at that moment )
