(Northern?) Irish Song

Back in the late 70s/early 80s I saw a documentary about teenagers growing up in Belfast or Derry in the shadow of the Troubles. At the end a group of lads sang a rousing unaccompanied song where (I think) every other line ended "da doyne doyne" or something like that. Any ideas what the song might be?

Have no clue to the song itself but perhaps in reference to Ardoyne, a ward of Belfast.

There's a song called 'The night we burned Ardoyne' which is an Orange song, so i'm afraid not one I've heard but I'm dimly aware of it, it's much in the flavour of 'The Sash', one of those gloaty type of songs that brings out the worst in people, but whether that's it or not would depend which side of the divide your singing chaps came from :)
