Good song Sqad- sort of thing they used to have on Crackerjack in the late 60s- but WHite Plains actually had quite a few top 20 singles although I can only name When You Are a King off the top of my head, and singer Tony burrows featured on lots of other bands' songs.

Yes,FF you are correct...never a number one, the highest was no 9 with My Baby Loves lovin.
They don't make'um like that nowadays. ;-)

Just looked at a list of one hit wonders and most is stuff like The Archies, Teletubbies, Hale & Pace which weren't proper groups, more one-offs, but there some good songs such as MARRS (Pump up The Volume) and this

Great song, spath. I love Teenage Dirtbag. BUt i'm pretty sure they had an equally big hit with their follow up a cover of an Erasure song A Little Respect I recall unless memory is playing tricks

If Norman Greenbaum as a one hit wonder then it looks to me as if Spirit in the Sky was a number one single for 3 different one hit wonders- Norman, Dr &The Medics and The Kumars (or doesn't that count as Gareth Gates was involved I think)
