Anne has been fine, Hc....and the lady I asked to go in my place is British, a Royalist and despite some difficulties did much for the charity behind the scenes so it was so much better for her to go and get a huge thrill which she still talks about.....
I didn't need a "thank you for your work" lunch....wouldn't have appreciated it and I just don't bow or curtsey....
Save the Children is going the way of many big charities and the waste of a huge sum of money on a jolly for those at the top was my reason for resigning some time later...
Instead of lunch I took Year3 on a day out at Foxton Locks....that was more memorable and enjoyable for me so, no, it's not really a shame...... :-)
