Could someone please recommend a good video editing app, I need to rotate a video taken with my camera, and would also like to be able to advance one frame at a time and capture a still from it.

Thank you.

If you can edit on a Laptop there is no better free software than Blackmagic Davinci Resolve- which has a jam packed feature ridden free download, but you need a reasonably chunky machine to run it.
As IJKLM indicates, VLC can rotate videos very easily.

VLC also allows you to stop a video and advance it frame by frame, as well as taking snapshots of what's on the screen. (You need to go to the View menu and enable 'Advanced Controls' to bring up the relevant buttons on your screen).
