I have seen top price tickets at £207.00. Are people crazy to pay this amount of money for a ticket or have people just got too much money to waste

I don't think it's crazy to spend money on what you enjoy if you can afford it.
think they were more for Edinburgh Castle concert
I wouldn't pay that to see Rod Stewart but would pay it to see David Gilmour.

It would be a treat, not an everyday occurrence.
ditto James Taylor
I wouldn't pay it personally but although I like Rod I'm not a die hard fan.

If it was Pink Floyd I'd be tempted.
The regular ticket price for the Portman Road performance is £62, which is what you get charged for thew vast majority of seats in the stadium. That compares reasonably well with the £25 to £52 that Ipswich Town charge for those seats to watch their home games. It's also a lot less than you'd pay for decent tickets to a top London show.

Tickets for front row seats on the pitch (which are offered with packages that include a "merchandise item designed exclusively for package purchasers"and a "souvenir Rod Stewart tour laminate and lanyard") cost £235.

So the prices don't see particularly expensive to me. However, despite living just outside Ipswich, I won't be buying any. I can't stand Rod Stewart!
£55 to over £270 at the Molineux ( Wolves ground ), I wouldn't mind going. Pity it's not at Villa Park though.
Wow! I wouldn't pay anything over £20 for any concert. More fools the ones who pay it.
Hiya, Tony...how's it going?
Jourdain - what kind of concert can you go to for £20?
Fine thanks, Tilly. Got back from Padstow around tea time.
Good! I hope you had a good time.
I did thanks, Tilly.
Why are they fools Jourdain if they are paying for something that will bring them joy?
Could see Big Country at Robin 2 ( Bilston ) for £20, would have to book tickets in advance though.

Gosh, to answer several posts at once. The usual price around here for very, very good entertainment is between £5 - £10. We have terrific folk entertainers and very good concerts including people who have been on TV and are acclaimed.
At Scarborough you can see very big, international names for about £50 (a friend and his wife go - I wouldn't pay that, you've got parking and everything on top of it). If people feel it's important to them then Heigh-ho, it's up to them. I just wouldn't. We have really great evenings out without the 'names'. :)
Isn't this bloke a member of Pink Floyd, don't think there will be any £20 tickets though ;-)

I was going to treat my OH to Adele at the O2.
When I looked online the available tickets started at about £250 and went up to even crazier prices.
We didn’t go :-(
I hope people buy lots of tickets, hate to see an aging pop star[i without squillions to waste.

Without this form of income he may decide to release a [i]special Christmas album]
Loved Floyd and Hawkwind since the day they started.
Only ever saw Australian Pink Floyd though.
Not perfect and good concert.
Happy to listen on my I pad these days.
