I hope some of you have listened in to Pete Agnew from Nazareth on the Johnnie Walker sound of the 70s show. Worth a listen on catch up if you missed it. I mean you Capito and you Tills. Great listening and some real feel good tales. Made a Cherry Pie whilst I was listening. (a real one that you can eat) (^_*)

Though i am quite an advocate of heavy, hard rock and prog rock, i could never quite get really 'into' Nazareth, back in the day,Togo, but i do have one of their albums - Close Enough For Rock 'n' Roll. Absolutely brilliant piece of work, particularly 'Telegram' and the acoustic instrumental, 'Vicki'. Always best listened to with the 'cans' on and the volume dangerously near the 'overload' mark :-) I did try some of their other albums but none matched Close Enough, imho. I did listen to some of the Johnnie Walker interview and i may just catch up with what i missed.

Hi Ken. Worth a listen to Agnew. An affable and amusing man, self deprecating too. Funnily enough, I never really hooked up with Nazareth, but now they do seem to nail the 70s down at the corners. He also picked some good tracks that are rarely heard on the radio anymore. Enable, what a horse.
Totally agree with you re Enable, though Frankie definitely had her in the right place every second of the race. The guy's still one of the best around, imho.
