What do you think of Zoe Ball's breakfast show so far? Or have you switched to Virgin to stay with Chris Evans? (I see his family are even more involved now....zzzz) For my money, nothing beats Mike Read on United DJs - he's brilliant and has no playlist to adhere to.

No reason for that to change just because it's earlier.

She actually OK, but having said that anyone would be better than Evans. I am actually turning on Radio 2 again in the mornings again fairly early

I prefer BBC1 early morning, or if Naga is on I go for 24 hour News channels.

Indeed. Silly tales of life in a Lancashire farm kitchen and a long forgotten DJ husband welded together with crass quiz shows does not a BBC programme make. Radio 4 this morning was sublime tho. A very good DIDs.

I don't like any of the female radio presenters, so I don't listen to any of them.

Cox, Ball, Wiley and Tarbuck, all should be ditched, not because they are women, but because they are lousy presenters.

I think Zoe Ball is struggling to cope with the weight of what she’s taken on. Wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t go the distance. But I’m mighty glad Evans has gone and can’t understand why anyone would ever listen to him. Sara Cox is excellent on Drivetime, almost as endearing as Simon Mayo was before Whiney turned up and destroyed him

Neither Cox nor Ball have what it takes to present at prime time. They’re average at best.

i used to lie in bed and listen to r2, but now find ZB just washes over me. If i switch to virgin, CE seems to have just transplanted his old show, but made the annoying bits more prominent

I agree about Mike Read. As good as he was on the R1 breakfast show in the 80s. Remarkable considering he’s now in his 70s

Since I bought an internet radio last year, I haven't listened to any UK radio at all. With 20,000 worldwide stations to choose from, why would you? I love radio with no chat and no ads....heaven!
