Mine was a miserable old trout...yes I appreciate she had a hard life....but the odd smile wouldn't have gone amiss.......My children's grandma wasn't a lot better but my grandchildren will tell a different tale.....both have grown to be adults to be proud of despite the antics of their grandma who showed them how to build exploding volcanoes.....dances reels at weddings.....and has passed on to them her recipe for the best mud pies........... :-)

My Grandmother didn't do jigs or dances with me either. She was a quiet dignified lady, loving and sweet and so very kind. And taught my sibling and myself manners, to be polite, never be rude and we absolutely adored her and so did our children. She was a loving shining light in our lives when we so needed it.
