Anyone *purposely* managed to induce a lucid dream?
Something that Ive been looking into for a week or two but no success as yet.
Tried different techniques. Off to dreamland again soon.
Had a few dreams in the past where I became aware that I was dreaming but woke up soon after feeling a bit freaked out. Would love to become aware that I was dreaming and be able to direct the dream.
Any tips/experiences?

Can you induce them or are they involuntary?
I occassionally have Lucy dreams, does that count? :-)
I have lucid colourful dreams most nights. To be honest they often exhaust me so I'd rather reduce them than embrace them.

Not really Douglass, sorry...

Prudie, when I said 'lucid' dreams I meant dreams that you could control and direct. Not lucid in the everyday meaning of the word. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

and the problem is that at the moment is that the lucid dream is erratic

I lay my pretty curly locks on the pillow and think - I will dream of ...
( my little pony,) - being prime minister... flying to the moon etc
Sorry I've not heard that definition, I just took it to mean really clear but I see it does mean what you're asking and thank gawd no I can't do that.
