On page 23 there is a woman holding a large wine glass in her left hand. The glass is about half filled with white wine and has a fly in it saying "Ironic my a r s e, Alanis!" (spaces inserted by me in case of profanity filter) .
What is the song being referred to, please?

Uninvited ?
"Ironic" by Canadian singer Alanis Morissette

Early 90s. Made fun of because just about everything she refers to as "ironic" is really simply, well, bad luck ;o)

Ah "It's a black fly in your Chardonnay". Never heard of her which probably shows my age.
Ed Byrne skewers her brilliantly:
In fairness she was asking the question, "Isn't it..." and in the tradition of newspaper headlines, the answer to the question is, "No !"
She said about the song, "For me the great debate on whether what I was saying in 'Ironic' was ironic wasn't a traumatic debate. I'd always embraced the fact that every once in a while I'd be the malapropism queen."

How is the incorrect use in this instance, a malapropism?
