Interesting programme on Charlotte Church, her mother and stepfather tonight. Goes to show they are of course human like everyone else and, no matter how much success and money you get, it doesn’t buy health and happiness. Anyone else have thoughts on it?

My thoughts are this family will do anything for money and exposure. The fall out was around 15 years ago so they made up a long time ago.
The mother and her husband were on 4 in a Bed and the mother did not come across well although she made sure everyone knew who she was because her B&B was full of Charlotte memorabilia.
I didn’t watch the show.
A daughter jaded by childhood fame, a mother with serious mental health issues and a father with under a year to live. It was all so sad, but they all came across so human and loving. I wish them all well.

//I didn’t watch the show.//

Which kind of negates your opinion on it.
Did they discuss his cocaine habit?
Why is it on TV? People will watch any garbage these days.
i liked the programme.charlotte came across as very stable, her mother was a wreck though and very sad her dad was terminal i liked him

HC4361, does that matter! many thousand have a cocaine habit in the UK its becoming normal,
"Anyone else have thoughts on it?"

My main thought whilst watching it before The Circle was "Who on earth is Charlotte Church?"
Her work dried up a few years ago and the family saw the father's illness as a way to cash in on a few quid.

Derek, drug use may be normal in your world, it isn't in mine.
my world is the uk. where is yours ! cloud nine ? you silly man, by the way im 76 years old
Cocaine use is actually too normal nowadays.

I didn't watch the programme but I did watch her mother on Come Dine With Me. I thought she came across pretty well.
The programme was about Charlotte Church hoping to make amends with her parents after having a big falling out with them some years ago. It had nothing to do with her father taking cocaine, so why would that be mentioned? I found it quite moving in parts and I think it could probably be helpful to others who might be in this situation.
I'd guess there'll be a lot more to come depending on viewing figures, on par with the Katie Price crap.

also charlotte church is worth over £6 million pounds so whether "work has dried up " as you put it, neither her or her parents are on the bread line !
teacake, I wouldn't watch anything associated with Katie Price.
Don't start with Katie Price. The Sun is obsessed with her. I've seen her boobs more times than I've seen my own!!
Lol ummmm
Boobs??? rubber balls :0)
I reluctantly ending up watching it, and found it kept my attention. The fondness they felt for each other was evident...but I couldn't help wondering how natural conversations can be with cameras following every move.
@11.14 Made for television springs to mind.
I think that can be said about a lot of programmes pasta. Long lost family springs to mind.
