For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It's tricky. i would be inclined to try and have sight of an autograph you know to be genue, then have sight of a photo of what you propose to buy, and compare.
I have seen Smiths autographs on Ebay which I know are false because I have a signed 12" which I know is genuine, because i watched the band sign it in front of me.
The only advice is, if you don't know the source, go carefully - it's the easiest thing in the world to get ripped off.
