deansgate locks is good or there are soom fantastic clubs in the gay village

Deansgate locks are a country mile away from the MEN. Your best bet is to try the Blackfriars end of Deansgate.

There's the Printworks thats got 6 or 7 decent bars / clubs and if you go behind the big Moon Under the Water you'll find Revolution and a few more. All these a within walking distance from the MEN.

There's also the Northern Quarter but I don't generally go around there.
