It'll run a while yet, fender. We haven't got to the business of compensation far less full and frank apologies for deeds real or imagined.

It was ever so.
Fade away? Nope. Not fade away....as was once sung. They also sang "I see those white cliffs and I want them pained black". What would you imagine the next level to be? Read it and watch the videos if you dare.
P.S Not shown by our "National Broadcaster".

Edward Colston's days were numbered, it was only a matter of time and George Floyd provided the opportunity.
//George Floyd provided the opportunity. //

I doubt George Floyd ever knew his father let alone Edward Colston! :-(
History (!) shows us that these instant fire-ups where everyone gets a serious attack of mis-placed self-righteousness rarely last for very long - they simply run out of steam.

The committed agitators will find another cause, but give the casuals, which is 99% of them, will simply get bored because they are a long way from seriously driven by their 'cause' - if they were, the would have been doing this a long time ago.

contrary to rumour there never has been racism in the police
I have other names for armed thugs , black or white, who terrorise any woman pregnant or not. What do you call them PP 'misdirected' ?
// History (!) shows us t.....serious attack of self-righteousness rarely last long - they simply run out of steam.//

this one hasnt been very harmful

unlike gems like - - the orkney child abuse ( scandal )
or middlesbrough child abuse ( half were and half probably were - - - instead of a third deffo no - a third poss and a third deffo yes )

century before last - 1854 searching roman catholic nunneries for imprisoned firls
Racism doesn't come into my opinion of those people.
I see that there is a bit of a "movement" springing up in your parts Retro. What with this and Farage looking at making a return, things could get exciting.

Can't believe we'll have this insanity forever more. Although certain authorities and authority figures are trying their best to achieve that by not stopping any vandalism and trying to reward the unacceptable behaviour; so who knows ?
This began as a protest about police brutality a few thousand miles away - and now it's about statues and historic slavery - the police brutality a few thousand miles away seemingly all but forgotten. One has to ask what's really going on in these people's heads?

what's really going on in these people's heads? // erase history for a new britain i assume, idealistic probably, will it ever happen, i doubt it.
it seems to happen in cities, lot's of people jammed in together, add a little poverty jealousy envy, and back to the jammed in together, steam..education hope aspire, black or white..
Nothing to do with police brutality a few thousand miles away then ....

Thought not.
Yeah, it will die down. There things always do.

I think it is a bit like a thread on AB - brexit or BLM - see a thread you dont like, and contribute converting it to another thread you like better
