ethereal music featured in top gear

Anyone know the title and artist of the ethereal music featured in top gear during the three supercars in France sequence in last nights programme.

I'm not sure, because I don't have the new album, but there was a piece that sounded very like it was by a band called M83. I have one of their albums and my ears pricked up when i heard the piece of music that you're talking about. Might be worth a check if no-one else knows anything.

I also agree with Supernick that i heard M83 as well and as far as i am aware the track is called Moonchild and the Album that it is taken from is called Before the Dawn heals us. Its hard to know just what piece of music that is being referred to as Top Gear do use many different tunes!

Rolando, I've just found this site whilst Googling for '"Top Gear" ethereal music', so I'm pretty sure I'm thinking of the same track as you. I've just downloaded the two suggested answers and I can confirm that it's Definitely Brian Eno's 'An Ending (Ascent)' as suggested by Spat. It's on an album called 'Apollo: Atmospheres And Soundtracks' which was released in 1983. Enjoy.
