Spice, 'Home' were early 70s (supported Mott The Hoople on a couple of tours) and released just the 3 albums before going their separate ways. The first, Pause For A Hoarse Horse is a tad C&W meets rock, but the 2nd is where they come into their own. Simply titled 'Home' it is the Album that got me well and truly hooked on them, (I hadn't heard the first album at the time). They then released their 3rd and final work, a concept album 'The Alchemist' which, again, I thought was the bees knees. Hand on heart, had they stayed together, they would probably have been my all-time fav band.
Soz for the deviation from your ELP, Andy, just thought i'd give Spice some Home background. By the way, Wakeman was God on keyboards - says so in the bible :-)
