Fake News From The Bbc
In a pathetic attempt to spread 'bad news' about what they consider to be the 'mistake of Brexit', the Beeb has been showing 4-month old pictures of hold-ups at the channel ports, hold-ups which at the time were in fact caused by the French.

It is normal practice to use stock footage and pictures..
It would be fake if the photo was captioned saying Lorries in Kent yesterday. If there is no caption, then it just a lorry jam for illustrative purposes.
If there was a story about petrol prices rising, they might show someone filling their car, but the film will be something they already have, not something they have just shot.

sunk: BBC News website this morning had the headline “Problems Grow at UK Ports With Backlogs and Delays” accompanied by a picture of trucks in long queues.
Elsewhere, BBC reporter Simon Jones in Dover reports:
"In many ways, it’s been business as usual at the Port of Dover and Eurotunnel. A steady stream of lorries has been boarding ferries and trains to France."
So why use a picture of lorries backed up?
It's fake news isn't it?

They are not even the same story.
Both pages have been changed beyond recognition on the BBC website, but I have found the original stories on the internet.
The photo of the lorries is credited by the BBC to Getty Images, a stock photo library. The intro goes...
// British retailers are concerned at new trade barriers being applied after last month’s trade deal with the EU.
Many traders now believe they will be paying taxes on exports and imports of certain types of food and clothing that are not fully made in Britain. //

The other pages intro starts...
// New border rules introduced last week are already creating problems for exporters and traders, say firms.
On Friday, Marks & Spencer became the latest company to warn of the administrative burden and increase in export costs to some countries. //

In summary, the BBC credited the photo as a stock image not reportage, the articles were completely different, written by different people.

// UPDATE: The BBC has since made some not-so-subtle changes to the article. Time for a game of spot the difference: //
I can spot 589 differences between the two articles because they are entirely different. You compare, unlike Guido I have provided links to the two stories (above).

You misunderstand. I have posted the two original articles not amended ones.
The photo of the lorry queue has not been replaced by the one lorry photo. They were on different articles on different pages.
The Lorry Jam photo was credited to Getty images, but Guido has cropped the photo to edit that out so as to mislead its readers.

Boris was told to take a deal which will mean we will pay more for things .So good old Boris and his mob put tariffs on our stuff and puts it into the treasurery or will they send somebody round to your house with the 40p you paid extra for the loaf you bought oh and We still owe that 70p for the grapes . Aye sure tell us about it
sunk: The headline says, "Problems Grow at UK Ports With Backlogs and Delays”" with a picture of a back log of lorries, but the inconvenient fact for them is that there are none, even reporting themselves elsewhere; 'In many ways, it’s been business as usual at the Port of Dover and Eurotunnel. A steady stream of lorries has been boarding ferries and trains to France.'
So the initial item was simply untrue. Why do you not see that as fake news?

""Traditional journalism has been playing catch-up in the disinformation world. ‘News sources such as the BBC need to work harder than ever to expose fake news and separate fact from fiction,’ he said. ‘We need to take care that trusted news is not blown off course by claims that are unfounded, however widespread they become. And we need to recognise that we are up against the well-funded, state-backed actors who see news as an extension of state influence and a tool for disrupting our societies and democracies.""
Guess who? Non other than Tim Davie the head honcho at the establishment that has become the main source of the fake news and terror porn that is pumped out daily in a constant stream of destructive subliminal "alerts". The organisation that relies on Greenpeace, and other glow bull loonies, for its climate change reports. The organisation that suffers with the usual left wing delusion, that it is all about them and think that inventing the news is better than reporting it in an adult fashion. Yep the Beep Beep See at work again. The git had the cheek to warn against fake news in a Beep Beep See magazine, that itself advertises the fake news schedules and was already fending off complaints about the recently shown, and universally condemned propaganda broadcast to our youngsters hidden, in plain sight, within what used to be a British gem. The Royal Institute Christmas Lecture. Time to defund them and scrap the compulsory tax.

You can see from a few if the above comments how easily people can be swayed by headlines. Only the headlines in this case aren’t BBC ones.
At least guido fawkes mentioned the BBC’s reality check pages although it’s as well I was reading and not listening as the irony klaxons would have drowned it out ...

big flash. Much better - only....
the hacks know they cant overdo this - do Bridgerton ( V colourful) to illustrate jane Austen because of the ridicule that comes
yes and they pull the stuff which is woefully ignorant
