As a regular user of Amo crossword dictionary, I was surprised to find that the site has vanished and cannot be found. Anybody got any info?

URLS ending in .qc.ca are reserved for official institutions, such as school boards, colleges, etc based within Quebec state. Perhaps some jobsworth picked up that amo.qc.ca was hosted on government servers but didn't meet the criteria necessary for such hosting at public expense?
The main crossword dictionary I use (both when seeking answers to crosswords and when compiling my own) isn't a website but a Windows program, which can be downloaded from here:

TheSage can be simply used as a conventional dictionary. (i.e. you enter a word and receive it's definition, together with a list of synonyms, antonyms, etc). It also offers a wildcard search where, for instance, you enter '?e??en' and get a list of all words which fit that pattern. Further, there's an anagram facility and much, much more, including a thesaurus, a rhyming dictionary and phonetic matches. Best of all it's FREE! I highly recommend it.
(Tip: If you do give TheSage a try, go into its settings and change the maximum number of possibilities that you're offered for things like wildcard searches, anagrams, etc. The default is to only provide you with the first 100 results that the program finds but you can increase it up to 1000, which I find more useful).
