Towards the end of Only Fools and Horses Mother Nature's Son, Del talks to his young son Damien, but what was the piece of gentle instrumental music played (guitar) - wiki mentions the difference from what was meant to be (Beatles) to this instrumental, but doesn't say what it is! Ta Muchly and Take Care All.

Not much help really, but IMDb gives -

During the scene where the Trotters check in to the Grand Hotel, "Money (That's What I Want)" by The Beatles was replaced on the DVD release by an instrumental tune.

That's the only mention of The Beatles' music in that episode.

Many Thanks Lie-in King, but it isn't the Beatles I'm interested in, it's the insttrumental piece of music near the end of the show!...but you can have a reward for answering!
There is a Beatles song called Mother Nature's - could it be that
If they swapped out the Beatles just for the DVD there's a vague chance it may be listed on the DVD itself.
Question Author
Sorry Margo, but it isn't that one, but Many Thanks for your research - and though Big Smiles Mamya, it isn't on my DVD either - I might have to play it to Shazam, eh!
The Beatles song that was replaced was played as the Trotters booked in at the hotel, not when Del was talking to his wee one.

It might have been an original track played during that scene.
Strange. The cuts database says the the Beatles "money" was cut and replaced by a "similar" type track.

The Beatles song was in a different scene, not the one being asked about.
Apologies. In that case there are no other references to cuts in this episode. It may be original music as you suggest.
Anyone got the episode?
Question Author
It certainly is that Cor, but what is the music?
Just listened and don't recognise it at all.
Sounds like 'incidental music' written specifically for that piece of the show.
