I was there with my youngest son. IF I remember correctly so was Princess Diana and Prince Charles plus John Major. It rained, gently. Very warm.
Fabulous evening. Very mixed memories for me now though.
Anyone else here go?

I saw him with the other two at Wembley in 1998....brilliant that it was, the seats being 6 rows back centre-stage, just under the sound-mixing station.....and we had been at Henley for Ladies Day up to 3pm before leaving for London, the 'sponsor' putting us up at the Landmark...Hotel overnight and an ealy supper laid on, a post-open bar and a private underground train up to Wembley....a free-for-all to get back to Marylebone.

Very disappointed as recorded this but for some reason it did not record.
Not available on iplayer either.
Hope it comes on again sometime.

They didn't show it so nobody has missed it. Wimbledon shuffled a few programmes off the schedule I'm afraid and this was one of them. We'll all have to keep our eyes open and alert each other if we spot it scheduled again. I was bitterly disappointed as it has very special memories for me.

That explains why there was no recording thankfully it doesn't record what replaces it instead.
Sick of all this shuffling around with programmes and sport taking precedence.
Thought my recorder was on the blink.

Ooh Gill I didn't know recorders did that. I thought they would record what was on the selected programme at the selected time. Aren't they clever;-))

I watched Beck first then the last 35 mins. Will get the rest on iPlayer. What a fantastic concert - you were very lucky to be there (despite the rain) :-)

I noticed that Charles was fully decked out with Mac & umbrella carriers while Diana was left like a drowned rat :-(
