Keep posting atheist. I'm listening even if no one else is responding..
I preferred last nights. Its the sort of music I overlooked even though it was around and I liked some prog bands and most music. for some reason I never bothered to give Zappa a chance
Captain beefeater was another I never tried.
Captain Beefheart, you mean Bob.

Captain Beefheart ?

I like some of Frank's work.
bobbinwalesCaptain beefeater was another I never tried.

I did once ( Trout mask replica ), good gawd never again !
LOL, only just spotted the typo.
Tony, Trout Mask Replica is a tough listen!
I survived ( just about ) both sides of that album, I've never wanted to listen to anything by Captain Beefheart since then.
Trout Mask Replica is fantastic, but does take a bit of work on the part of the listener. Worth it, though. Will be posting another Don van Vliet tune from a different album on Mamya's thread later.
That's part of the reason I posted the acoustic version of Orange Claw Hammer rather than the one from TMR. Thought it would be more palatable to the casual listerner, plus it has a link to the OP as the guitar is played by one Frank Vincent Zappa. :-)
Lol just caught up. Beefeater was predictive text/ autocorrect honest.
Will listen to captain beeftart later
Love old Beefy - much to the annoyance, it would now seem, of TonyAV who must skip through some of my posts on M's evening thread faster than a speeding bullet. This one's for you, villain :-)
