Any opera/classical music buffs out there?

I'm trying to trace an opera singer who retired in 1993 but dont want to post a question of no interest! CETTI are you still out there? If I'm posting this in the wrong topic advice would be apprec8ted.

Sorry wasn't meant to be a quiz - just making sure it wasn't considered too stuffy a question. No not D F-D but the right 'era'. She sang with him many times. My concern is for Sheila Armstrong, a soprano, originaly from Ashington but currently in retirement on the Surrey/Sussex borders.

Thanx brachiopod for the encouragement, I didn't want to bore you good people. Sheila Armstrong was/is a very talented & lovely soprano. She still has a web page on the net. I contacted her after 25yrs through the Kathleen Ferrier Award web site but sadly after 2 failed marriages & a career wrapped up far too early, she now lives a semi reclusive existence. She is suffering from clinical depression & says she has turned her back on the career she loved so dearly. Her 1st marriage was to a handsome young detective too wrapped up in getting drunk & chasing other women. No 2 wasn't much better.

If anyone does remember this lovely lady please send her a christmas card via the KF awards site, they will forward it, saying that she is still remembered. I received a very sad, bitter reply, with no address attached, but please, if you loved her voice, try.
