Simple DVD/ Video player

I want to buy a simple DVD - Video player for my mentally handicapped brother-in-law for Christmas. I must be simple to work and preferably only a player not a recorder. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks - I checked Aria crystal out but am unsure it can do what is needed. It needs to play VHS cassettes as well as DVDs. Sorry, maybe I didn't explain it too well, I'm not too well up on this stuff.

No, sorry, it was me- I didn't read Video player as for Video cassettes. If you want quality look for a Toshiba combined unit. Some people have bought a Bush unit - I personally have a cheap Funai one from Somerfield!

In what way is he mentally handicapped? Just low IQ? Just wondering, often autistic spectrum patients have no problem with such things (on the contrary...).

Many thanks for your advice. I've checked out your suggestion and agree the Toshiba looks good. so I've placed my order with Amazon and hope it comes in time for Christmas. Thanks to everyone else who responded as well.
