Love it just as I love the book. It’s probably one of the best - if not the best - series ever produced by the BBC. I have the DVD. It’s something I never tire of.

I'm going to come across as a philistine I know but I hated the book at school but fell in love with the Keira knightley film version which I've watched countless times. Hence Colin Firth as Darcy left me cold after Mathew Macfadyen.

The soundtrack to the film version is great and when he walks through the field to meet her on the bridge is a brilliant scene.

Prudie, I loved the Keira Knightley one - except for Macfadyen! No accounting for tastes.

I rather liked Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, to my surprise.

Bednobs, I was very disappointed with ‘Death comes to Pemberley. The author is no Jane Austen.

Naomi - I felt the same about 'Death comes to Pemberley'. Very disappointed and PD James is a good author. I read it for the second time last autumn and it was better; but she is no Jane Austen. T.B.H. a lot of authors have written versions which are fun (McDiarmid's 'Northanger Abbe' for one) but nowhere near the quality. I've done a letter from JA to Cassandra, which I quite like.

I didn't think much of Death Comes To Pemberley either.

Just as an aside, if anyone watches Anatomy Of A Scandal, please note the location of the in-laws house. I think it's the same house used for Longbourn in the series.
