Shakespeare's last solo play was The Tempest, about 1610, though he collaborated on other works after that. De Vere died in 1604. (Perhaps he came back as a ghost writer?)

The "evidence" for De Vere emerged years after the time, and doesn't bear up to the evidence supporting William Shakespeare from his lifetime.

It's all a plot by the chinless inbred aristocracy who can't bear the thought that the "plebs" are actually smarter.
