Hi Ladybirder - bought that meshy stuff but what I want to know - the window of the computer room is the worse (for the flies) but it is a very big window and splits in half.

Do I need to cover the two panes without ever opening the windows or can the meshy thing be cut in half to allow me to open the window.

If I've understood you correctly jj, no you can't cut the mesh in half. You stick it on the frame. You then just lift the bit near your handle, open the window, and let the mesh strip snap back. That's what I do anyway.
