Used a claw hammer to murder his partner, 35, her son, 13, raping and killing her daughter, 11, and also taking life of her friend who was at sleepover.

And on a suspended sentence when he did it, hope that judge doesnt sleep too well.

If he had been sent to gaol following his last offence instead of receiving a suspended sentence, when would he have been released?

If it would have been on a date prior to the murders, what difference did the suspended sentence make?

I think this is one of those rare cases where prosecution, defence and defendant have all asked for a full life term. So that is what will happen.

It has happened. He has already been sentenced to 5 x whole life tariffs (one for each murder and one for the rape of the little girl).
