Happens to the best of us L.I.K.

MissTerious2, Re Vote, neither can I but have come to the conclusion that I’ve voted already and this thread is a re-boot. Hence the dates mix up.
Sixties without a doubt.
Has anybody else noticed that, according to the date next to AB Editor's icon, the questionnaire was issued NEXT month, Wed 3rd May?
My favourite Album ever 1967. But introduced to it by my son in the 90s

As i have said many times on these pages, the song that began my love affair with Queen is 'Liar'. I first listened to it through the 'cans' and it blew me away. If you've no cans handy, turn the volume up to 11 :-))

This can't be right, loads more than 3 have said 80s. Also I never actually got to vote there where no buttons. Maybe that's the problem.
TBH I said 80s but it's only by a tiny margin from the 60s and 70s, really that's a great tridecade! I like some of the nineties and occasionally hear something more recent I like but on the whole most of 1990 till now is terrible for music.
I was totally hooked on Radiohead in the 90s Tora. Again my son's
fault! I don't like their later stuff though.
Oasis is an odd one for me, I like a lot of their songs but can't stand the people! REM are pretty good too.
There's some things I like now, but very little. One thing is that I can't understand a word of what the present lot are singing about!! But there are people like Rag and bone Man that keep me entertained. There are always things in most decades that stand out from good artists.
I voted for the 70s but not because of the mainstream chart music. You look back on any given year of the 70s, chartwise, and the music is, immho, quite bland - very 'middle of the road'. Just look at some of the ones that reached the dizzy heights of Number One;

70s all over. No " chill sesh" was happening without this track.

Here's mine.
Definitely the '60s
This one would be playing softly in the restfull times back then. Th e youngsters of today presume that we elders were not aware of political or envirenmental issues. Who are the dummies then?

""I am just a poor boy
Though my story's seldom told
I have squandered my resistance
For a pocketful of mumbles
Such are promises
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest""

I can sing that song word for word,Togo. :-)
Definitely 50s
Evening Tills. A great track amongs others that are overlooked from that seminal album. We all know the well worn ones and still love them. But it is always the less played tracks that pull us up short and remind us of where, and what we were and probably still are. I loved this one ... and Leanard Skinnard's riposte that followed.

So can I Tills. :))
