Recordings On Humax
6 Answers
Hi, overnight I have lost all my recordings. I have tried switching everything off at the plugs but no luck. I looked up on line how to find lost recordings, but I don’t understand Can anyone please give me advice? Or do I need to get someone in to sort it? I am not very tech minded I am afraid.
Many thanks

Put the unit in standby then remove the power for five minutes.
Reconnect the power and wait for the unit to recover from power failure. (it will set it's clock and then may enter standby or remain on depending on what it remembers of it's previous state).
If it is in standby, power-on.
Wait for unit fully powered up plus 1 minute.
Hopefully all restored.

@21:22 I just pulled the little power cable out of the recorder, waited a few minutes and then put it back, let the recorder boot up, pressed the Freeview/play button (just above the guide button), selected "Recordings" and they were all there again.
When the recorder boots up it should automatically switch the TV to the right input, so you should be able to change channel with the recorder remote control, if you can do that, you wil be able to get to "Recordings" as above.
