A New Year poser!

Hi there and a happy New Year to all!

Playing a music game over the holidays and someone started singing a song and no-one could remember what it was. Here's what I do know.....or at least think I know! It was late 80's early 90's possibly by one of the "Madchester" bands. Only line we know is "sh sh sh shine on, sh sh sh shine on". Any help would be gratefully received as ever.
