Italo/High Energy
Thanks for the response to my question about the record 'I Love You' by Helen.
Yes it is by Helen and the last time I saw a copy it was on either the Loading Bay or Almighty label (both UK labels)
It used to be played a lot on a radio show on WEAR FM (since
changed owners and became Sun City) on a show called "Gay2Gay" hosted by Megasal(Michael Lumsden).
The opening lyrics to the song are (spoken in an Italian (?) accent):
'Who is that boy over there,
Why he all alone,
Why he look so sad,
He's a prince.
I think I luurvv him'
It's very camp and Italo disco.
Thanks and good luck

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.OK, after some extensive research, I've found Loading Bay Records, who say that Helen is not one of their artists, and they don't recognise the track. I've also found Almighty Records, and Helen was one of their artists, but the only track they have on their lists is a song called 'Tunis Tunis' which has an index number of LMB 002. I don't know if this is the song you are looking for, but there is nothing called 'I Love You' listed. As I usually suggest, a specialst 12in single dealer will probably find it for you - Almighty Records is no longer in existence, so you might be looking for a second-hand copy.
If i can find any more info. for you, please let me know. Sorry I haven't found exactly what you are looking for, but at least you are now moving in the right direction ... thanks to the Answerbank.
