Christmas Can't Start Now!

Every year I go out on the street to welcome Santa when he comes around our end of the town on his sleigh (with Christmassy music blasting out from his speakers and his elves, who somehow look remarkably like members of Stowmarket Round Table, filling their buckets with cash).  It always represents the start of Christmas for me:

However I went out shopping this evening without realising that it was Santa's special day here, so I've missed him for the first time in many years 😮

Now Christmas can't get started!

So, no chance then!

There are plenty of tractors here in Suffolk as well, Jourdain2!

Now can you help me stretch my aged fingers around Mendelson & Sullivan, Buen!!!!!!

^^^ I thought that you were singing the carols!

This is about the best speed that I could render Sullivan's music to 😊

Ha, love it.!

No, 2 members of choir moved and then our organist died.  I had piano lessons until 1963 and could still read music (because of singing), so I sort of took over as organist.  Am fascinated and terrified by the organ (1901).  I've improved a lot over the last 18 mths., but it's a huge challenge for me.

I couldn't believe that I got paid (PAID) for 3 funerals this year.

As I say, age slows the eye/brain/hand coordination somewhat - and boy, some of those chords need big hands! I'm just coming to terms with some of the pedals.

A 1901 pipe organ is a fabulous beast!
