I am considering my first purchase of a PC monitor. Can anyone tell me what the three USB ports on this monitor can be used for?

Ideally I would like to charge my keyboard, mouse and other peripherals via the monitor and not the PC.

I have found the manual as suggested and the upstream USB has to be connected to the PC as well as a DisplayPort, HDMI, or VGA cable.
I was just concerned that the other two USBs wouldn't power my peripherals
Further to the above, we have two Dell monitors, and yes you do need to connect one of the HDMI, Display port,or VGA cables to get the picture, and another cable to get output from the USB sockets. They are good monitors, and came from the place in your link, being they are in a unit the other side of town.
But as I have said, the USBC monitor in the upstairs office powers the Laptop(charges it) and the screen. There are no other cables. Tjhis we use with both Latitudes and the works surface pro.
The Logitech dongle is in the monitor so multiple laptops can be connected to the monitor and keybaord simply by plugging in the USBC. I think you can plug the printer in too but mine is on the Netwark so everythong else can use it. Same for the DS220.
Mine is a S3423DWC.
