I tried looking for some photos of Scott Murphy & Allister and only managed to find one pic and the bass was partially obscured. However, from what I can see it's a Fender Jazz Bass, or a derivitive of it.

Have a look at this version which is the Jazz Bass 'Standard' but the same colour scheme is available as the American Deluxe as well.

These are genuine Fender USA models, but Fender also have the same models (slightly different specs, i.e. wood & electrics) built in Mexico and also the cheaper Fender Squier range as well which are often built in Japan and Korea. It's hard to say whether Scott Murphy is using a genuine or a cheaper one (bands on tour have often been known to us the cheaper ones).

See this website and you can see all the different models.

Thanx KebabMeister, but i knew about the jazz bass, it was the one he played on the warped tour last year, and ive never seen it before. I know most basses but this one is new to me.. It looks a bit like and Ibanez EDB 600, but wiht a scratch plate... The only pictures i can find have the top of the neck cut off, so i dont have a clue what make it is. I also can't find any gear lists etc..
Anymore ideas???
thanks.

Well, it could be anything without being able to seeing the whole guitar, especially the head.

Post here if you manage to get any pics.
