This will tell you what you want.....great band by the way!
I was a great fan of Family and had all their albums, saw them live a few times to. I think they came from Leicester.
The were on the bill when Rolling Stones played live at Hyde Park in 1969. I was there and mainly went to see Family. King Crimson were also on and they were amazing.
When the Rolling Stones started I stayed for a song or two and then left.

Roger Chapman, lead singer, had a really gravelly voice, somewhat like Rod Stewart.
The bassist of Family, Ric Grech, left the band to join Blind Faith, the "supergroup" formed with Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Stevie Winwood.
Family were indeed from Leicester and made several albums. I was at their least ever gig in Leicester - fantastic, although I very nearly got beheaded by a flying tambourine thrown by Roger Chapman. Roger went on to form the Streetwalkers who also had an album out called Vicious But Fair, but they never quite got off the ground somehow. Roger also had a solo album if I remember rightly.
I still own (on vinyl) Family's Greatest Hits album which includes Burlesque which was their biggest hit, also In My Own Time and Weavers Answer.
Try this link, click on the abum and the the little blue speaker at the side of the track name and listen to a 30 second sample.Hope it works.
Roger Chapman, lead singer of Family, is still about and playing. He appeared at the 100 Club in London in November and was absolutely brilliant. There is a fansite:

By the way, the support that night was a band called Never The Bride. This outfit was also superb and well worth a look if they're anywhere near you.
