no its not legal to download music, unless you pay for it like on Napster. HMV would be out of business if it were completely legal. Downloading free music is totally illegal and if found out you could be in a bit of bother. In the USA people have been sued for $100,000 per illegal song download. So be careful

soundclick.com mp3 downloads are free & legal , but they are all unsigned bands trying to get noticed . There are some realy good stuff on there & some real bad , you choose .

ok just to explain, limewire is a p2p network (peer to peer) which means that you download it from other people who also have limewire, it's like a file sharing network so PLEASE dont listen to spaced you will be fine! the people who have been fined are the people who copy 100's or even 1000's of copies of dvd or cd and sell them, it's fine to have it as your own personal use! just dont get any ideas of selling loads of copies.
