irish song and music
i am considering having an Irish Themed barbi in the summer, after just having had 3 wonderful days in Ireland (to short what a magical place), has any one out there any suggestions as to the music i should play,,, Thanks in anticipation to anyone who responds to me .......

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hey im from Ireland and if your lookin for traditional Irish music, go with Christy Moore, the Dubliners, The Pogues, and to be honest stay away from Daniel O Donnell as he would bring back up the food that was cooked! Also The Cheiftains. If your friends are a kinda up with the music of today, try Aslan (great sing along music), BellX1, obviously U2 and maybe the Cranberries. Hope this was helpful.
Do NOT even think about playing Daniel O'Donnel or Foster and Allen unless you want your guests to leave early!!!!! The Dubliners and The Pogues are the type of thing you should be looking at. Also, don't wait until summer. March 17th is St. Patrick's Day. Get in plenty of Baileys and Guiness and no one will notice how cold it is! Have a good one!
