personal(?) music. how can I annoy the annoyers?

Irritating sounds from personal music headsets. We've all had to endure it. On busses and trains the banging, buzzing and hissing from private (that's a joke) music players! Short of using scissors how can I block, disrupt or interfere with them? Please , please tell me , how can I annoy the annoyers?

Listen to your own music.

If you can identify the music - sing along to it, or hum loudly.

Sit next to them if you can and jig in your seat, as if you're really enjoying their music.

Why would you want to annoy them? If they're annoying you, politely ask them to turn the music down as I'm sure that they're not doing it to intentionally get under your skin.

If you approach them with the same tone that's in your question I'd expect a two word reply.

Stevie - I am an 'older' lady with a hearing aid. Even if I switch my aid off I can hear a nasty noise from som personal players.

I few times I have asked the person the turn it down, pleasantly with a smile.

You wouldn't want your grandmother to be treated the way some of them have treated me, that's for sure.

So now I sing loudly.
