Deal Or No Deal

Ok, i know i am going to upset many fans now, but i find deal or no deal really grating to watch. I can never watch it til the end because the audience and players are so annoying. The contestants and audiences "companionship" and other-the-top encouragement with each other seems so superficial. There is nothing to this gameshow other than tactics and guessing numbers and hoping for the best. The only thing i think i can manage to watch is Noel Edmonds great ability to make a massive hoo-haa and tension out of nothing. Does anyone else agree with me? Or am i the only one who will consequently receive spiteful replies.

The most annoying thing is that once you start watching, no matter how much it annoys you, you need to know how much they go away with.

sjthomas11 - i totally agree with you, but i still cannot bring myself to watch it until the end. the more i watch it, the more i want to chuck something at the tv screen. i just cannot stand the whole, "there's a lot of love in this room" rubbish!!!!!

Cant stand it either. How on earth can it be a tactical game when no-one knows whats in any box until near the very end when the contestant might get a chance to change boxes. A cr@p guessing game with usually smug g!ts for contestants!

I've heard people at work rave about this game, so I watched it - twice, so I could be objective. Both times I couldn't see what the fuss was about, and if my colleagues think this is fantastic TV, then I am glad I don't live with them.

Ha ha at last I thought I was the only person who Hates it, it really gets on my nerves just a game of luck so whats the big deal about it ????????? And yes there will be those who love it (yuk).

...I too had heard many rave on and on about how good it was, I happened to have a day off mid week last week and watched it....and it's cr@p ...I have always been a fan of Noel Edmonds (and thought his hasty departure from prime time tv rather strange ) ...but this show is just your typical American drivel...here endeth this cow's rant...

It's unadulterated garbage. Nothing but blind luck and completely over-hyped. And whoever's responsible for getting Noel Edmonds back on our screens needs seeing to. Severely. Even if it's only for him keeping that duff hair'style' and even duffer beard since the 70's.

i like it to a degree but it can be annoying ,especially when he keeps saying"it's VITAL that we dont hit the big one".really the show could be edited down to about 20 minutes.

yay!!!! so i am not the only one who cannot stand the show!!! i totally agree with everyone here. although i don't think i hate Noel Edmonds as much as the audience and contestants.

10ClarionSt - it made me laugh when you mentioned the "let's all hold hands" malarchy they do.....aaahhhhhhh...that makes me cringe!!!

I jave mentioned elsewhere on the AB that it's testament to Noel Edminds' skill as a presenter that he can creat tension and a popular show out of what is esseintially a game of cvhance with no skill involved at all.

More perturbing to me is that either Noel has rediscovered all his 1970's shirts, trousers and jackets tucked away in a forgotten room in his mansion, or, and this is really scary, someone somewhere is actually making these clothes and he is buying them.

We should be told!

It wasn't as bad at the beginning, the first couple of episodes everybody was restrained, but since it has become very popular, it seems that they have gone down the road of fake loveyness.

It has ruined the show and I haven't watched it as much since it became like this.

What was originally appealing about this show was its simplicity, in that you had to pick 21 numbers and decide how much your nerve would hold out with what you were being offered, but for some reason (possibly ratings) they have decided to up the tension, but it has been done in such a fake way, I think it could possibly backfire on them as I know a few people who are know turning off.

What a dire show. The other day a contestant showed Noel a few pics of him and his wife. I was nearly sick, but switched over to something else. And is there anything in the coffee cup? Pathetic.

To be honest im more baffled why so many people would post on here just to say they didn't like something, while were at it, i don't like the following....Tuna, Eggs, blisters, Gary Bushall, tabloid newspapers, Roy Chubby Brown, Luton Town Football Club...ect...ect....come to think of it, I am now even more baffled why someone would post on here to say they are baffled that so many people would bother posting to say they didn't like something...and so on and so on..........i could be here all night.
