Mr Rose's head got so big & pompous that he completley blew it. He turned into rocks Elton John with his tantrums, stage prescence and over the top style.
they should have had another 10 years and 3 or 4 great albums at least before disbanding.
I cant imagine his new album Chinese Democracy is up to same standard. it should be coz its been about a dozen years in the making.

They only have Axl Rose from original lineup. They also have a guitarist who wears a KFC bucket on his head and mask (to hide his embarrassment presumably).
The new GnR offshoot band Velvet Revolver seem to have a good sound with Slash, Duff and the Drummer who replaced Steve Addler.
I cant imagine for one second that the Axl Rose GnR will be anywhere near the band of late 80s / early 90s.

A lot of people here seem to think that GNR have split up. Well, they haven't, they never disbanded, and Duff didn't leave until about 1997 anyway so that's another 4 years on after 1993.
Besides which, the only two classic members of the band that were in GNR at the beginning were W. Axl Rose, and Izzy Stradlin. Slash, Duff, and Steven Adler replaced the other original members but a lot of people don't seem to know that.
And to those that think Buckethead's just some random guitarist that's never done anything...well, he's had over 20 solo albums, and was taught by Mr Big's guitarist in the 80's.
I think the new GNR stuff will be brill, judging by what i've heard already (through fansites and youtube) it's amazing.
