what was the song she sang at the end of the film (it was in black and white), which was about a black women adopting a white girl, white girl hated he, in end black mother dies, white daughter cries over her coffin mahailia sing at her funeral. thank you

Hi mei2525 I believe the song by Mahalia Jackson was "Trouble of the world" from" Imitation of life" film with Lana Turner, the daughter wasn't adopted, that was her true mother. Hope this helps.

Coincidently, "Imitation of life" is being shown on Channel 4 on Fri 31st March at 13:10pm, Great film! Last 5/10 minutes you will hear the song you are referring to.
