Summer time start and finish
British Summer Time ends in the last weekend of October so 58 days or less before the winter solstice yet starts in the last weekend of March, upto 100 days after the winter solstice? Why the asymmetry? Why not have evenings in March as bright as they are in October?
Thanks

I wasn't able to shed any more light (boom boom) on why this might be the case, but it seems that it has been this asymmetrical (or even more so) since the whole thing started back in WW1 or so.
