R&B music

Most r&b songs sound the same to me nowadays, they all contain the same words and people.. and most of the words are made up! who else gets confused when listening to them? I also dont understand the music videos for them, why are they full of "hot" half naked chicks and rather large men rapping about their "grillz"? I think they need to come up with some better r&b songs and videos! sorry to anyone who enjoys listening to r&b music im just not a fan of it.

Todays Rythm n Blues just isn't, if you wantthe real stuff, listen to the Animals or the Moody Blues, probably the best of the genre there ever was.

R'n'B, like every other musical genre is going to evolve over time. Rock moved on through the Kinks, Who, Hendrix, Deep Purple etc to the state it's in today.

We all have our favourites and can always go through back catalogues of artists thanks to CD releases of old material.

I think every generation (that's giving my age away isn't it) needs their 'own' sound and the labels we or anyone else gives the music don;t really matter.

i do like r&b music but i dont understand the videos at all either they just dont seem to make sense and they are all the same - half naked ladys ect...

It should be noted that the term r'n'b has a very narrow definition of what it used to be.Nowadays its basically hip hop/rap with a bit more singing than straight up hip hop/rap.

As a black music fan of long standing,its about time the focus returned to quality,distinctive vocalists rather than this thug nonsense!
