Isn't this just carrying on a fine tradition? Many people are sure last years was too. My neices were unable to vote for the performer they chose and they only stopped trying when they realised they were clocking up votes for some one else.

why would this year be any different.
BTW the top 40 is a total scam also - the record companies decide what gets to number 1, not the punter (have you ever wondered why singles that aren't number 1 are "mysteriously" always sold out? - they're withdrawn by the record company)
