Manic Street Preachers during the 90s
6 Answers
Do you remember the time when the Manic Street Preacher lead singer went missing? Who was he? Also there was a fantastic song that came out then that I would like to hear again. I can't seem to find any of the older CD's from then to find a song i'm looking for. Can anyone name any songs?
Thanks in advance.

They also covered B.J. Thomas' hit Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head as a 3 piece for the war child charity album soon after Richie disappeared.
From Dispair to Where? is another fantastic early song by them, is it that?

You could try looking up the albums immediately before and immediately after Richey went missing - try 'The Holy Bible' and 'Everything Must Go'. I'm sure Amazon.co.uk or somewhere will have the tracklistings. Might help if you could tell us a bit more about the song - was it hard and acerbic and very 'rock' or more soft rock and athemic. If you can remember any of the lyrics im sure one of us on here will get it.
The three Richie albums are Generation Terrorists, Gold Against the Soul and The Holy Bible. Everything Must Go was recorded just after his disappearance and features several songs with his lyrics on. The singles they released with Richie were Suicide Alley, New Art Riot, Motown Junk, You Love Us, Stay Beautiful, Love's Sweet Exile/Repeat, You Love Us, Slash 'N' Burn, Motorcycle Emptiness, Suicide Is Painless (Theme from M.A.S.H), Little Baby Nothing, From Despair To Where, La Tristesse Durera (Scream to a Sigh), Roses in the Hospital, Faster/P.C.P., Revol and She Is Suffering. Do any of those ring any bells?
