For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Mediaeval currency - there's a Mark in Somerset, but as far as I remember, the English mark was an accounting sum rather than a coin, and equal to 13s4d, ie 160 pence... maybe the question setter got a bit mixed up?
(I remember Whimple, patsyann - my dad used to play cricket against them. We also had a school outing to Whiteways Cider there - weren't allowed any samples but the fumes in the brewery pretty well did the job anyway!...)
