The Last Unicorn
Does anybody remember a film from a few years back, probably made for children, called the Last Unicorn? Was there a scene in it that had many horses being driven into the sea to be killed and coming out again then or maybe at a later time all lovely and white?Any help Please!!! It's bugging me for a while now.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Postdog's link is spot on. The film is available quite cheaply on DVD, though there is talk of a "special edition" DVD. This is likely to be Region 1 only, as the author of the book (Peter S Beagle) is owed a lot of money by the folks who hold the UK rights. You can also get the soundtrack via Amazon (it's a German import). (I own both, and the book *blush*).
A live-action version of the book was in pre-production but it looks as if the project is dead. In one way, this is a good thing, as the company who had the rights seemed a bit amateurish. Unfortunately, they recently stumped up a couple of hundred thousand to extend their rights, so unless they sell them on it looks as if any film will be coming from them. (I suspect that they are hoping that with LotR/Harry Potter etc etc they may be able to make a killing on selling the rights).
The other "unicorn" film you are confusing it with is "Legend" , if you can play R1 DVDs, I'd recommend you get the "Ultimate" DVD pack, which contains both the US and European versions of the movie. (If you've only seen the movie on TV, you could have seen either - but our theatrical and DVD release is the Euro one). I own the DVD and (European) soundtrack to that one, too!
The horses/sea bit was definitely in TLU. King Haggard has the Red Bull drive the unicorns into the sea; the last surviving unicorn eventually rescues them.
P.S. Although marketed at children, the book was not specifically aimed at them, and neither is the film.
