What happened to Roger Taylor, the drummer, from Duran Duran?

Of all the Duran Duran members, drummer Roger Taylor was the least happy as a famous pop star. While the other members of the band indulged freely in the wealth and fame that their massive success afforded them, Roger remained faithful to his sweetheart Giovanna whom he met when the band played their earliest gigs at Birmingham's Rum Runner Club. Roger left the band to live quietly on a country farm and shuns the publicity and fame he disliked so much. He and Giovana are married, and have a son, James. Roger remains close to his former band mates - Simon Le Bon was his best man at the wedding, and Roger has been invited to play on all the Duran Duran albums made since his departure, an invitation he has declined with the exception of a couple of tracks. Roger did form a band, Freebass, but the project met with limited success and has since folded. He remains a quiet and devoted family man, showing no inclination to return to life in the fast lane as a pop heart throb.
