Transferring from Real Audio to Windows Media Player

Hi

I've got loads of music stored on Real Audio Player on my PC but would prefer to have my playlist on Windows Media Player. Is there a way of transferring the tracks from one to the other so that i don't have to download everything again (costly and time consuming!) or saving them all to disc then copying that cd onto windows as this would also take forever.

Basically like you can cut and paste with documents is this possible with music files?

File - add to library - by searching computer

This should possibly find them all for you.

Yes the playlist is in Real player, but that is all that it is, it is just a list. The real actual music files must be stored somewhere on your hard drive as you have already downloaded them.
What you should do is locate the folder where they are stored and then just use WMP to make a new playlist from the same folder.

thanks for your attempts but i really am this stupid and after trying my hardest i think im now going to give up! Can't do it.

Did you try this:

Load Media Player:

Go to the FILE drop down menu at the top.

Find "add to library" part way down - follow out to the right and choose "by searching computer" from that menu.

Doesn't this do it? I'm sure it should do.

i did try using the file - add to library - search computer thing but nothing came up

also did file - add to library- add folder file/playlist but again no joy

oh well no worries. i'll just stick to using real audio.
